Note: The "Ore
to click on" is the ore that you must click on to use with the furnace.
Note: The number in brackets means the number of
ore needed for that bar.
* - Iron - When you smelt an iron bar your success rate is random, sometimes you will succeed and sometimes
your ore will be impure. There is no way to tell if your ore is pure or not. If you cast superheat item on an iron ore your
ore will always turn into a bar.
** - Gold - If you wear the crafting gauntlets, which can be obtained as a reward from the family crest quest,
you will gain approximately two times the amount of experience when smelting the bar. This should result in 45 experience
per bar.

Now that you have smelted the ore into a bar, you can smith the bar into armour or weapons. There is no magic
spell to smith, so you only have one option: You will have to go to an anvil (look on the world map to find one), remember
to bring a hammer with you, and click on the bar, then click on the anvil, finally you just need to click on what you want
to make in the upper left corner of the screen. Your smithing level defines what you can smith. Look in the smithing tables to see what you can smith. Some items require more than one bar. When you click on the item, all the bars needed will be
automatically used. Only need one more level? Scroll down and read the paragraph explaining a Dwarven Stout and you will be
very happy.

Need to smith something, but your level is one (1) away from the required level to smith/smelt the ore/bar?
No problem! Simply go to the bar located in Falador, and talk to the barmaid. Order a Dwarven stout (they cost 3 gold coins
each). When you drink it your smithing level will temporarily go up by 1, as will your mining level. Drinking the stout will
also lower some levels, but they will restore within a few minutes.
